The Revuelto from Exotic Car Hacks

Pejman Ghadimi, founder of the Youtube channel "Exotic Car Hacks" recently posted videos of his new Lamborghini Revuelto.
It caught my attention as he had chosen the same colour (Grigio Telesto) as my Murcielago LP640 and Aventador S. However, what did surprise me was his choice of interior colour - Blu Glauco (a bright turquoise colour also chosen by Damon Fryer of Daily Driven Exotics for his 2003 Murcielago also with a Grigio Telesto wrap).
So why do I think Pejman Ghadimi got it right with his spec his Revuelto and this photoshoot?
Grigio Telesto was a colour first introduced by Lamborghini in 2006 with the launch of the Murcielago LP640 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was then a colour option for the 2007 launch of the Gallardo Superleggera.
For a larger car, I agree with Pejman Ghadimi that darker colours work well. Grigio Telesto which is a pearlescent, pastel grey shows off the design of the car. It also has hints of blue in the grey which is why these stunning photos seem to contrast so well with the car as the sky blue colour goes well with the grey of the car The shiny surfaces and subsequent light reflexes have created a plethora of interesting shapes accentuating the creases and curves of Mitja Borkhert's (Head of Centro Stile at Lamborghini design ) futuristic design.
I recently went to view a pre-owned Revuelto for sale and had the opportunity to see how important it was to specify the car with the High Gloss Black package as there are significant areas of exposed matt black plastic on the front bumper of the Revuelto and Boca Nera (the strip under the twin horizontal headlights) which looks a little lacklustre if not treated in some way. I think the Boca Nera looks good in body colour in matt finishes whereas with this car, leaving it black makes the shape of the bonnet look sharper and the daytime running lights stand out against the black.
This car shown has the full upper and lower carbon package. To be honest, I don't think this is really worth the money as it doesn't show up well with a darker colour like Grigio Telesto. I think the full high gloss package with the windscreen frame and engine bay cofango painted high gloss black looks better with Grigio Telesto and is a significant cost saving whilst also not having exposed carbon fibre on vulnerable areas like the front splitter. Yes, exposed carbon can be paint protected but I don't think it's worth the risk. I saw a full upper and lower carbon package on a Grigio Keres Revuelto and I almost missed it as it wasn't easy to see.
The one thing that is hard. to get right with the Revuelto are the wheels. The larger the better in my opinion on most supercars. However the Altanero 21"/22" (Altanero means arrogant) do not come in a solid bronze or gold finish and are diamond cut giving them a bronze interior and silver exterior finish but not a strong solid bronze finish like the smaller Triguero wheels (Triguero means "wheat" possibly describing their multispoke appearance). The mix of gold aftermarket large wheels with grey is one of my favourite colour combinations for cars and interior design and makes this Revuelto look luxurious. The car looks a little lower than stock which adds to it's more aggressive and purposeful stance.
So, what about the Blu Glauco interior? Is it just a bit too much Blu Glauco? I think this brighter spec works well in sunny climates like Florida or California but I don't think it would ever be seen in it's full glory in the overcast weather of my home - the UK. I do think military-like specifications work well in the UK. I do think the Blu in the Blu Glauco contrasts well with Grigio Telesto as it does have blue tinge to the colour. This Revuelto looks exciting with the doors up and the interior bright blue contrasting with the darker grey.
I did like the Classica Blu Aegir option with Grgio Octans base colour on the configurator although my wife thought there was just a bit too much blue going on!
Whatever your preferred specification, The Revuelto is one of the most specification dependent V12 Lamborghinis the company has ever released. I didn't think the launch colour in Arancio Apodis (Orange) did the car full justice. it was not until the Singapore release in Matt Grigio Acheso that I started to see the Revuelto design in a more favourable light.
I hope you enjoyed this deep dive into this particular Revuelto and got a glimpse of how I think of specifications. Owning a Grigio Telesto Murcielago LP640 and Aventador S obviously means i'm biased towards this particular car!
What's your favourite colour for the Revuelto?
