First test drive of the Lamborghini Revuelto

I so wanted to dislike the Revuelto. I wanted to say this car was overrated, overpriced and just another version of the Aventador. I was critical at the time of Revuelto launch in March 2023 regarding the looks and whether it offered value for the asking price.

I drove my Aventador S to Lamborghini Pangbourne to test drive the car. The next day, I drove my Murcielago LP640. However, after an hour of driving the Revuelto on twisty, bumpy British B-roads I thought it was the best V12 Lamborghini I have ever driven and in fact the best car I had ever driven.

The stand out features were the elasticity and immediacy of the torque delivery, the orchestral sound of the V12 and the precise linear braking.  I've experienced the torque of the Tesla Model S and the Revuelto is more emotional and punchy. The Revuelto literally sucks you down the road with a ride quality that is stable and smooth on some of the worst post winter B-roads the British countryside has to offer.

Other noticeable features were the ease of accurately positioning the car on the road, the steering which was telepathic and the user friendly interfaces.

The steering wheel was just the right size and the buttons and knobs were very intuitive. 

The electric mode was superb so you can turn off all the craziness and drama as you trickle through a sleepy village at 20mph.

I love driving my V12 Lamborghinis and this was a car that felt like a small lightweight sports car then a GT then a city car all packaged in one supercar.

It was thrilling to drive and left me feeling totally exhilarated. What other V12 hybrid is there? The LaFerrari? And the price point of the LaFerrari is now over £2.5million compared to the Revuelto which in my specificaiton of my other V12 Lamborghinis came in at around £565,000.

 I couldn't fault the Revuelto. It truly is a masterpiece and a marvel of automotive art, engineering and pure passion. It is the poster car for a new generation.
